At work we use lightboxes for videos, but they get kind of boring after a while. This was a quick proof of concept if I could do something different. The “looking glass” is a hole in the page that looks through the page at something behind it. The idea is that you put a play button on it, and you click it shows whatever is behind the page. It works somewhat nicely for desktop, but it doesn’t work great with black bars above and below videos, and will work weirdly on mobile. Nevertheless I enjoyed the process.
